Most therapists will agree that the majority of us could benefit from therapy at some point in our lives. Stress happens, changes come, relationships affect us - there are so many reasons why it can be invaluable to have a person that we can turn to for support, encouragement, and perspective.
Therapy takes time, and it is also uncomfortable. Both of these factors are greatly influenced by the significance of what has occurred so far in your life. Therapy is also freeing and life-changing. Often one of the biggest indicators for whether things will improve is if the client is motivated. You don't have to know what you want exactly, you don't have to know what you think you need to do, all you have to know is that you aren't happy enough currently, and that you want things to be better.
